Dr. Mary Bennett Houston received her undergraduate degree at UNC-Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar, and later graduated from the UNC School of Dentistry. After completing a one-year Advanced General Dentistry Residency
at UNC, Dr. Houston practiced full-time in her Chapel Hill dental office for 12 years. Since 2001, Dr. Houston has practiced 2-3 days a week. She joined Dr. Hart’s practice on a permanent basis in 2005.
Dr. Houston enjoys practicing high-quality comprehensive dentistry. She is a Fellow in
the Academy of General Dentistry, and an active member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Durham Orange Dental Society, and the R.V. Tucker Dental Study Club. Dr. Houston has continued her dental education with many courses, including those at the L.D. Pankey Institute and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Education.
She enjoyed the opportunity to teach at the UNC School of Dentistry from 1989-1994. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Houston loves living on her farm with her husband, daughter, and all of their farm animals- her other profession.
Dr. Steven Hart received his degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston and has practiced full time in Chapel Hill since 1982. Dr. Hart teaches advanced courses to practicing dentists throughout the world who travel to the prestigious L.D. Pankey Dental Institute in Florida to continue their professional development.
